Getting started
Once a packet has been sent out for signatures, regardless of whether or not signatures have already been collected, you must void the packet in order to make any modifications to the packet. For example, you will need to void the signature packet if you want to edit prefilled text or update information provided in a Webform.
Note that any signatures collected prior to voiding the packet will be invalidated and signatures will need to be collected from all signers again.
Voiding Etch packets
Voided Etch packets will be converted back to a draft. After which, you can make modifications to documents, fields, signers and more before sending the packet out for signatures again.
You can either void Etch packets from a specific packets’ overview page, or from the Etch dashboard.
To void Etch packets from an overview page:
- Navigate to the Etch dashboard and select the relevant Etch packet
- Scroll to the bottom of the page
- Click Void Signature Packet
- Enter the reason you’re voiding the packet
- Confirm by clicking OK
To void Etch packets from the Etch dashboard:
- Navigate to the Etch dashboard
- Locate the relevant Etch packet
- Hover your cursor over the three dots
- Select Void signature packet
- Enter the reason you’re voiding the packet
- Confirm by clicking OK
Voiding Workflow signature packets
Voiding signature packets within Workflow submissions allows you to resend the signature packet. This can be helpful if you need to apply changes to signer settings, or if you need to re-open Webform submissions to update data.
To void Workflow signature packets:
- Navigate to the Workflow dashboard
- Select the relevant submission
- Click Void Signature Packet
- Enter the reason you’re voiding the packet
- Confirm by clicking OK
Note: If your Workflow submission is locked, you’ll need to unlock the submission first before you can void the signature packet.
